Pigeon Ascent v1.8.0

Hi there! We are releasing a new update for Pigeon Ascent: v1.8.0. 

We are actually skipping releasing v1.7.0 because we thought it wasn’t that balanced. This version includes some new features, but is mostly Quality of Life stuff.

Here’s the changelog for all the changes since v1.6.3:

• New feature: the Hall of Tries
  • This weird named location will list every attempt you had to usurp the Pigeon God. Hopefully it will help you remember your past tries!
• New Pigeons:
  • Now, the Platy pigeon will evolve into the ultimate lifeform…
  • Now, your pigeon can evolve into a PIgeon. How to do this is “part of the puzzle”.
• QoL and balancing:
  • Pigeons can only eat foods if they are hungry.
  • Changed the font in certain parts of the game, solving translation problems.
  • Items that affect evolutions are displayed on top of the store now.
  • The game now works fine when playing on mobile.
  • Fixed tons of bugs.
  • Reworked some store items.
  • You can change the game language after it begins.
• What you won’t notice:
  • A huge part of the code of the game was rewritten. The gameplay seems very similar, but behind the curtains, we polished things up so that bringing new updates to Pigeon Ascent will become easier in the future.
• My bad:
  • A bunch of translations broke. Hopefully the possible-but-who-knows-when-it-will-arrive-next update will be focused on fixing this and bringing new languages to the game as well. We’ll see!
• Other things I just forgot 🙂

To be fully transparent, we are not sure what direction we will be taking Pigeon Ascent in the future. The most likely option is that Sucraiso will be working on a new, improved, built from scratch version… from what I saw, it looks really cool already. No ETAs however!
