Controls cannot be seen on android, also feels like controls are inverted

(+1)

Metadata link to github and source code download aren't accessible... Why?

(+1)

Hi! I made some changes on github that broke the repo. I just reuploaded it:

https://github.com/Escada-Games/starcatcher-jam

(+1)

Thank you! One more thing itch metadata says apache 2.0 while github says gpl 2.0

Fixed it, thank you for the patience and the pointing this out!

So good, loved the mechanics and the feel of the game :)

Fantastic game ! Great one mouse button concept. I loved it

It's amazing how you can do so many things with just one button.

It was interesting.

I found a bug. There's a level where there are 4 spikes, and it's kind of like a spiral. I guess you're supposed to jump over the spikes, but if you turn around and keep pressing to go all around without going over the spikes, just before getting the star the character will continue walking midair :)

El juego es una autentica pasada!!! Tiene de todo para entretener a una persona durante horas, un desafío total para el ingenio.

super fun!

Great stuff!

Cool artstyle and interesting controls

(+1)

Really liked the creativity on this one, and top presentation!

(+1)

very cool game! I got stuck on the level with the 4 platforms where the fire guys are going in a circle.

(+1)

Same here
ended up on the lower right corner of the lower right block - character can only change direction here, not move or jump.

(+1)

Comfy little game, no complaints

(+1)

Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars...

I finally Beat it Hell yeah Great Game

You should add Github link and license to the metadata of game.

"Edit game->metadata->Release Info->License for code"

"Edit game->metadata->External links->Source code"

Somehow I never had noticed those options 🙃 Thanks for pointing them out, I just made those changes.

When you ground pound at the edge of a platform, the game softlocks.

nice simple game, very fun

I love this!

fun to play. do you guys have any plan to add more stages?

Sorta... for a while we had plans to make a "full" game out of this one. I ran out of motivation and didn't have enough discipline to finish the project.

Still, I would like to try again one day. Who knows! Also, thanks for the interest.

Looks amazing and the controls rarely get in the way despite how sophisticated they are. I just have a little problem with some of the levels with the crabs and spikes, they just felt too unfitting for a puzzle platformer. Instead of allowing you to think about "How do I make this jump" you had to think of "Ok when exactly do I have to jump to not die here, and what do I have to do then to not be instantly killed by the crab-cat".

Though on the other hand at the end the levels where you just run to the star were a bit straightforward.

Interesting, I heard that feedback come from another place before as well. I guess while designing the levels I ran out of ideas haha

Thanks for the feedback, I'll keep it in mind in the future, specially if I revisit this game idea!

Finally, a good interpretation of one button mechanic

(+1)

sophisticated game controls: press [bt]

It's really simple and fun. It's a good game.

Beat it after a few runs.  Excellent implementation of the one-button mechanic and overall just a fun game.  Here's my attempt at a speedrun:

(+2)

T00000ooooo hard

(+1)

whoopdeedoo that's a softlock!

(+1)

It was difficult at first but i have beaten it twice now

(+1)

kula world

(+1)

very nice game!

(+1)

i cannot move from here

(+1)

oops

(+1)

How...???

(+1)

The thin edge by the star doesnt turn you, so if you go via the outside of the spiral it either does that or throws you into the spikes.

(+1)

Ι like this, very simple mechanics and unique design!

(+1)

Lmao one key control simple mechanics but kinda hart 9/10

(+2)
