How to play:

  • Use the mouse to interact with the User Interface and the board.
  • Your objective is to buy every other realtor company.
    • To get more money:
      • Buy more land;
      • Invest in land you already own to demand a bigger rent;
      • Tip: Land spots closer to the middle of the board will generate more rent!
    • To buy someone else's company:
      • You need to have land connected with their land;
      • You need to have more cash than their entire net worth;
      • When you buy someone else, all their land will belong to you.

About

 Hoarding gold isn't smart due to inflation. Now dragons plan to hoard something less likely to depreciate: Real Estate.

 Made for the Mini Jam 151 - Dragons (Feb/2024). Theme was "Dragons", and the limitation was "Endless Greed".

I'm not really happy with the final result, but since the game is basically done, I decided to upload it. At least I could learn a thing or two, like coding a basic computer player, and a very simple local multiplayer system (hotseat).

And if I remember correctly, gold's value actually grows more than the "average" inflation... but I remembered this only after the game was more or less finished 🙃

 Inspirations: Acquire (board game), Stockpile.

Might want to go over your game description a bit, there are a few errors that whole somewhat comical, probably aren't what you intended to convey. Game itself is great, I hope you do more with this idea!

Hi, thanks for playing!

Hm, sorry, but what part exactly? This one?

 Hoarding gold isn't smart due to inflation. Now dragons plan to hoard something less likely to depreciate: Real State.

Unless there's a pun there that I'm missing, that would be "Real Estate", not "Real State".

Also: "Your objective is to buy every realtor." -the player is buying PROPERTIES, the player is a realtor.

Again, I really like the game, it's very good. Its just the terminology that potentially needs a bit of cleanup.

 To say the truth, I had no idea the correct one was "Real Estate". I thought it was something like "color" and "colour", you know? Both are correct, but one of them is more common in US and the other in the UK. So, there was no pun, only me proving that english is not my native language hahaha

 Also, writing "Your objective is to buy every realtor." was intentional, but now I see it sounds weird. I'll be changing it to "buy every other realtor company".

 Thanks for the information, I really appreciate it! Since some people found bugs and other things that could be improved, I'm already working on an update with these adjustments.

I can easily see where the confusion could come in on Real Estate. And I see where you were coming from on buying realtors, I think the new wording will make your intention much clearer for a lot of people. I'm going to keep following for updates, you really out together something fun here that I could see being expanded upon.

Thank you, glad you found it fun!

If isn't too much trouble, could you please say some of the bugs you found? I would really appreciate it.
